International Opinion: A big fuss about nothing

So says Páll Stefánsson writing for the Iceland Review. The topic is the further expansion of Magma Energy Corp. stake in HS Orka. “But,” he says, “suddenly some members of the Left Green Movement, people who are sitting in our Althingi parliament as part of the majority government, are screaming that foreigners should not be allowed to own a share of Iceland’s natural resources.” This comes at a time when Iceland will expand cooperation and exchanges with China for work to be done in Africa. “But, wait a moment. Can we invest and work in Africa and construct geothermal power plants there with China?”
