Sengkang plant operator to sue Siemens
In Indonesia, Energy World Corporation Ltd., the operator of the Sengkang geothermal plant in the province of South Sulawesi, said it will sue Siemens if it fails to repair damage at the facility by the end of January. Leakage in the outer turbine pads was supposed to have been repaired before December 25, 2009. The leak damaged the GT21 turbine on October 4, 2009 and disrupted electricity supply to the province and its capital, Makassa. Energy world owns the plant, which is operated by its subsidiary PT Energi Gas Sengkang Darma Sakti and produces 60 MW per day.
