Public meeting will discuss GT lease sale

In Colorado, a joint public information meeting will be held by the Bureau of Land Management and the Colorado Department of Natural Resources on Thursday, Jan. 14 concerning a planned BLM lease sale in February of a federal geothermal lease parcel in Chaffee County. The meeting is for informational purposes only and will not be an opportunity for the submission of public comments for the record. This sale, announced in December, will be the first federal geothermal lease sale in Colorado. The pending sale will be part of its regularly scheduled quarterly oil and gas lease sale. A 799 acre parcel is up for auction in the county.
