SGC updates exploration activities

In Canada, Sierra Geothermal Power Corp. updated its Silver Peak and Alum projects and the exploration activities that form part of its integrated development plan for the Paymaster District geothermal area in Nevada. A new 6,000 foot well has been started at Alum, and ten shallow temperature gradient holes at the Silver Peak project are now finished. The company also conducted an airborne hyperspectral remote-sensing survey, a high-resolution, ground-based magnetic survey and a 2D seismic reflection survey. New data will be integrated with existing datasets to refine a 3D subsurface model to assist in confirmation of targets for production well drilling.
