Environmental Impact Statement for Salt Wells Energy geothermal projects to be prepped

In Nevada, the Bureau of Land Management, Carson City District-Stillwater Field Office will prepare an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for two Salt Wells Energy geothermal energy projects. Ormat Technologies, Inc. and Vulcan Power Company are the proponents of the geothermal plants. Vulcan is looking to develop up to six power plants and facilities; while Ormat proposes to develop a single power plant and facility in the area.
